EXISTENCE MOTIVATION OF THE DEPARTMENT

Taking into account that in Bihor county, in cities like Oradea, Marghita, Beiuş, Ştei, there still existed a strong textile industry, with multiple specializations (spinning, knitting, sewing garments, leather garments - clothing and footwear, tannery , weaving), we can appreciate that Oradea university is strategically positioned in the north - west of the country, with broad prospects for staff training and development specialized for the development of this industry.
At this stage of the Romanian economy, when the development of small and medium a special magnitude known, the need of highly theoretical and practical training can be estimated as high and constantly growing.
The superior capitalization opportunities that are open to the large number of companies specialized in textile and footwear available in Bihor county requires thoroughly trained professionals to implement a competitive market, accustomed to work within a diverse and dynamic economy, capable use facilities and modern technology.
The existence of a very flourishing industries in neighboring counties - such as: Satu-Mare, Cluj, Salaj, Arad, not only increase the imperatives of specialization in the field, once again justifying the existence of the Department of Engineering and industrial management in textile and leather in Oradea.
